About the event
Fermentation & Gut Health: A Hands-On Wellness Cooking Class
Join Chef Mari Ramie of Marjoram Cuisine for a hands-on cooking class focused on improving gut health through simple, nourishing whole foods. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how balanced meals can support digestion, reduce inflammation, and strengthen the microbiome. The foundation of your well-being begins with the food on your plate.
Together, we’ll prepare a variety of gluten + dairy free dishes, including: a savory chicken or tempeh stir fry, fig and walnut bars, and a dairy-free coconut yogurt made using a simple fermentation process. Along the way, we will snack on lemon pepper cauliflower “nuggets” with dipping sauce while Chef Mari explains the science of the gut and microbiome, and what fermentation is and why it matters.
What You’ll Learn:
• How to safely ferment yogurt at home
• The basics of gut health
