Spring Dumpling Workshop: Folding, Filling & Flavor
Celebrate the arrival of spring with a hands-on dumpling workshop focused on technique, balance, and fresh, vibrant flavors. In this immersive class, you’ll learn how to build dumplings from the ground up—working with dough, seasonal fillings, and classic cooking methods that bring everything together.
We’ll begin with the fundamentals of dumpling dough, covering proper hydration, kneading, resting, and rolling smooth, even wrappers. From there, you’ll prepare a selection of spring-inspired fillings, featuring fresh vegetables, aromatics, and thoughtfully seasoned proteins, designed to be light, flavorful, and well-balanced.
As you work, our chefs will guide you through essential folding and shaping techniques, from simple half-moons to pleated styles used across different dumpling traditions. You’ll also learn when and why to use different cooking methods, including steaming and pan-frying, to achieve the perfect texture and finish.
